Prior to starting his position as a resource development manager for California-based staffing firm Modis, Joe Arrigo managed outbound customer service calls for residential solar panel manufacturer SolarCity. As a result of his experience with the Tesla-affiliated company, Joe Arrigo is a proponent of Tesla’s mission to reduce consumer dependency on polluting fossil fuels through innovative solar energy products such as the Tesla Solar Roof.

The Tesla Solar Roof is the latest iteration of residential solar power systems. The panels are designed to resemble traditional roof tiles while generating energy 24 hours a day. The system is priced lower than the combined cost of a high-end roof and a separate solar power set-up, making them a more attractive investment for homeowners and real estate developers.

First introduced in 2016, Tesla now sells, designs, and installs the Solar Roof system in all 50 states. Founder Elon Musk indicated in early 2020 that the company can produce up to 1,000 systems a week and was aiming to make Solar Roofs available for overseas buyers.
